Update time

Well it's been what... 9-10 hours since surgery I guess and I'm still alive and kicking.

Kind of a funny. I guess I'm a major lightweight when it comes to putting me under. This nice lady started me on some laughing gas (nitrous). About 2 minutes of that and they put an IV in. The last thing I remember is the doc saying "you should start to feel the drugs flow into your arm so just relax" and boom that's it. I must have dropped like a box of rocks!

Woke up groggy and delerious something like 45 minutes later. I barely remember waking up. I have just faint memories of being taken to a discharge room and laying in the car on the way home.

I've spent rest of the day down the basement watching tv putting bags of frozen peas on my face.

My face isn't too swollen and really the only numb parts of my face were my tounge and bottom lip/chin area. The tounge has been fine as of around 5pm. The bottom lip/chin is still numb. Although it's starting to show some signs of life.

And for those interested I'm on Oxycod/APAP for pain, Cephalexin an anti-biotic, and Dexamethasone a stereoid to reduce swelling. Which the ceph and dex had side effects of muscle and joint pain. Which I think are cuasing my carpal tunnel to throb like a mother!

Anyways I need to go rest...
