The Difference Between Republicans and Democrats
A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republican's pocket and got out twenty dollars. He kept 15 for administrative fees and gave the homeless person five.
Now you understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

Well, you do realize this is just a joke there buddy? Someone emailed it to me and I thought it was funny enough to share. Hence, why it’s posted in the Jokes category and not politics.
I hope no one would take that as a serious commentary on political parties. If you do then you really need to learn to have a sense of humor!
And I would just like to point out you’re the first person to complain and I get probabbly 10-20 hits a day from people searching for “difference between republicans and democrats” on Google. Congradulations for being the first to post anything!

Yeah, emailed this to my girlfriend who still thinks Bush went to war strickly for oil. She said and I quote “Yeah, cuz you know of soooo many people offering jobs to homeless people. Give me a break.”

I’m from Holland, and studing the politics of the United States of America. But is the joke also close to reality ?
Oh, I guess it’s somewhat close. It plays on the basic beliefs of each party.
Republicans (conservatives) believe in self sufficiency and small government. That is, taking care of yourself and having the government stay out of your way. If you are down in the dumps it should be your fellow man giving you help, not some large government bureaucracy.
Democrats (liberals) believe in larger governments that take a strong roll in citizens’ lives. That is, taking care of yourself and passing on your excess to the government to help others. If you are down in the dumps the government should be there to help you.
Now, obviously this joke was written by a conservative trying to poke some fun at liberals since it makes the Republican sound like a nice guy and the Democrat sound like some horrible thief. That’s not true and in reality there are nice and evil people on both sides of the political fence so no one side can claim to be better.
It’s all personal belief and what you as an individual consider important.

Thats just a little unfair. It is so easy to say anything about any party, anybody or anything for that matter. You really just need to look at which party is helping people more, and which party has more jerks like Alan Barber that thinks it is necessary to bring down the other party.
