Meet the parents
My girlfriend came over for dinner tonight.Being Easter weekend and having the whole family together my mother suggested inviting my girlfriend over for dinner. So she came over and did the whole meet the family thing. It went really well I think. My father was actually not there because of work but she meet him before when I brought her home for the first time.
We had pork chops, scalloped potatoes, green beans and a salad. It was ok. The chops were a bit dry though. For desert we had some sort of jello/whipcream/pretzel stuff and my sister made a pineapple upside-down cake.
So we did the small chitchat thing and ate. There were a few awkward silences but we all lived and it went fine.
So then we went down the basement and watched a few movies. We watched "School of Rock" and "The Wedding Singer". Both very good movies although I'd say "The Wedding Singer" is the better movie. Well just because it's a romantic comedy and you can use every romantic scene as an excuse to kiss your girlfriend. I'm such a stinker!
All in all I'm happy with how it went. So, If you excuse me I'm going to get a slice of cake and see what's on tv.
