Daniel Hannan MEP Rips British PM Gordon Brown

I man not be a brit but this is one smart cookie and he has this Americans support. He knows exactly what is going on and isn’t afraid to cover it up. If half the folks in the US Senate and House would have the balls to say what this guy is saying I might just have some faith in the system.

Alan Stevens - Coding In Public

Alan Stevens - Coding In Public from Scott Walker on Vimeo.

Alan Stevens presenting his very thought provoking “Coding in Public” talk for the Central Ohio .NET Developer Group.

Make sure not to miss out on Alan playing guitar and bantering with Brian Prince at the end for a good laugh.

Project Management Tools

The other day I asked everyone on Twitter what they use for project management. I got some good and not so great answers.

Twitter responses

The short list is MyIntervals.com, DeskAway.com, OnTime 2009, Project Spaces, 5pm, ScrumWorks, a whiteboard and pencil and paper…

Most of the replies ended up coming from people that actually make project management tools so I guess it’s more advertising than personal opinion but hey I’ll still take it.

We don’t really use any project management tools at my company. We have our own specially built “helpdesk” that is used as both basic support helpdesk and simple project manager. it works great for support needs but honestly sucks as a PM tool. we’re working on creating some new functionality and so I’m looking at some of the project management tools to come up with some ideas.  so far i’m impressed with some of the pm tools and hope to implement some of it into our system.

thanks for all the suggestions guys!

New Cigars have arrived!

The box opening

The opening of the magical box. I always love getting new stuff!

Bahia BLU

Bahia BLU Churchills. Look pretty good!

Gran Habano 3 Siglos

Gran Habano 3 Siglos Robustos. I’ve heard very good things about these cigars. I can’t wait to try one.

 Colibri CI Syncro Torch Lighter
One of the great reasons to buy from Cigars International, freebies like lighters!

Well there you have it folks. The siglos are for me and the bahia blus are for a co-worker but we’ll probably trade a few. Besides that i have two bottles of CI’s special Cigar Juice, a special propylene glycol/distilled water mix, for keeping humidors humid and a 4oz Humi-Care jar of Humidification Gel, also for the co-worker to keep his humidor humid.

Today was a great day!

Everything is amazing, nobody is happy… Louis CK on Conan O’Brian Show

I just find this very true and funny. Modern society has created such a huge group of spoiled people. The easy and simplicity of what our lives are compared to just a short time ago and all anyone ever does is complain and demand more and more.

Sometimes I just shake my head in disgust of what our world has become.
