Bandwidth Drought?

Robert Cringely, the man the legend, posts an interesting problem. He believes there's a bandwidth drought coming and no one is prepared for it. According to Cringe we're about to reach a dead end wall with current infrastructure that will prevent us from every reaching the so called communication utopia we've been told is just around the next bend.

Dead Like Me

It appears Showtime has once again produced another hit show. Called Dead Like Me, it's all about the afterlife as seen through the eyes of a young girl named Georgia Lass, played by Ellen Muth, that's just died.
Unfortunately death isn't all it's cracked up to be...
Instead of proceding to her final destination, which by the way the show never gets into, Georgia finds out she's not ready to move on and has to be a grim reaper. This is where the story gets interesting!

Girls less confident on computers
The Globe and Mail has a report about a study done on high school girls in Canada and computer use.
“The new digital divide, says the study released yesterday by Statistics Canada, is not about access to computers and the Internet” that gap has all but disappeared, it says “but about a gender gap when it comes to attitudes and opportunities in a knowledge-based economy that relies heavily on a computer-literate work force.”

Bought My First Gun Today
I'm proud to announce that today I bought my first gun. My family has always had guns and we shoot them but today it was I who filled out the paperwork and bought it in my name. It's sort of a surreal experience the first time you do it. Probably up there with buying your first car or house. Say it isn't so! The American Physiological Society has released a study saying that using computers late at night can cuase changes in melatonin levels and affect your biological clock.All I have to say is, well duh...
