    Bandwidth Drought?

    robert_cringely.jpg

Robert Cringely, the man the legend, posts an interesting problem. He believes there's a bandwidth drought coming and no one is prepared for it. According to Cringe we're about to reach a dead end wall with current infrastructure that will prevent us from every reaching the so called communication utopia we've been told is just around the next bend.

    The kiddie game debate

I have time and time again seen simple polls of video game console use turned into a fanboy debate over how one system "sucks, becuase it's for kiddies". I for one am getting sick of it!

    Dead Like Me

    dead_like_me.gif

It appears Showtime has once again produced another hit show. Called Dead Like Me, it's all about the afterlife as seen through the eyes of a young girl named Georgia Lass, played by Ellen Muth, that's just died.

Unfortunately death isn't all it's cracked up to be...

Instead of proceding to her final destination, which by the way the show never gets into, Georgia finds out she's not ready to move on and has to be a grim reaper. This is where the story gets interesting!

Tomarrow is the big day. The National Do Not Call List goes live!

Shortly after I'll be putting my phone number on the list along with millions of other americans. This could be the start of a new trend of people taking back control of their lives and services.

    Girls less confident on computers

The Globe and Mail has a report about a study done on high school girls in Canada and computer use.

“The new digital divide, says the study released yesterday by Statistics Canada, is not about access to computers and the Internet” that gap has all but disappeared, it says “but about a gender gap when it comes to attitudes and opportunities in a knowledge-based economy that relies heavily on a computer-literate work force.”

    Bought My First Gun Today

I'm proud to announce that today I bought my first gun. My family has always had guns and we shoot them but today it was I who filled out the paperwork and bought it in my name. It's sort of a surreal experience the first time you do it. Probably up there with buying your first car or house. You are amazed that anyone could believe you have reached a level of maturity to be trust with such an awesome responsibility.

Late nights at the computer bad for you?

Say it isn't so! The American Physiological Society has released a study saying that using computers late at night can cuase changes in melatonin levels and affect your biological clock.

All I have to say is, well duh...
